The Olympic Games

Year 5’s task was to create an interesting Powerpoint Presentation to inform Year 4 about the Olympic Games and their history.

They could include:

• The Ancient Greek Olympics
• The history of the modern Olympics
• The 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing

All the children researched their own information using the internet and books.

They tried to make sure that all the text was in their own words, not cut and pasted directly from the internet.

They used interesting pictures, photographs, maps from the internet

They used appropriate slide transitions and animation to add interest to their presentation and thought carefully about layout and colour.

Year 5 showed their presentations to Year 4 who said they enjoyed the presentations and learnt a lot.
